Men’s Recovery Home

The Men's Recovery Home is located on the grounds of the Tewksbury Hospital, has provided substance use treatment to individuals struggling with addictions since 1972. The program continues to provide critical housing and supportive services to over 24 men in early recovery. It serves as a centerpiece in the drug and alcohol recovery program in the city. Residents work as they prepare to return to the community, independent and substance free.

Based on a social model, treatment encompasses:

  • Individual and group addiction counseling.

  • HIV/AIDS prevention and education.

  • Relapse prevention and case management.

  • Referrals for medical and mental health services, vocational training, and securing transitional and permanent housing.

Persons served must be 18 years or older, and the average length of stay is six months.
